Every career choice I have made all had a similar commonallity, customer service. I enjoy serving others. What lead me toward the real estate profession first was when we bought our first home. Unknowing at the time of what common practices were for a Realtor, I felt like I can do better for my prospective clients. At that point I was raising our 6 mo. old son and teenage daughter and working with my husband in our construction business. Going through the education portion for me was easy enough, but coming out the other end and actually practicing was a little shock. There were so many “other” things involved that made my wheels turn. Namely, what can I provide different than any other capable agent? I thought about my ties to the construction community my knack for desgin, etc. What makes me so special?? In the meantime I enjoyed volunteering at my Son’s pre-school for three hours a day. Learning from amazing teachers that give their all to our kids and continue to keep giving without abandon. How much I admire these teachers so much, to the point that I felt maybe I should have focused my energies in becoming a teacher? Then I had a lightbulb moment! Leave the teaching to the professionals! They have devoted so many years toward what they do and they do it well. What can I do to service them through my expertise? Ah Ha! My ‘Big Why’. Giving Back. Most teachers and schools are so grossly under paid and under budgeted no wonder why that is not the sought after profession. So my heart and soul is devoted to giving back to these amazing schools, like Learn Connect Play Foundation Pre-school, and we can have more just like it
