The year was 1979, I was 17 living in Las Vegas, NV. I got a job at D&G Products, they carried 3M film called ScotchTint, not many companies were tinting cars yet, I even had to make my own tools. We were tinting 2 or 3 cars a week in the parking lot.

A few years later we move to a shop with a garage and had 1/4 page ad in the Yellow Pages, we were tinting 3 to 4 cars a day in the summer, I still had to make my own tools.

1984 we move to a new shop, this one has a 5 car garage and 175,000 cars drive by a day, I started training tinters and by April 1984 we opened. I managed the automotive department, I had trained 4 tinters, we were tinting 15 to 25 cars a day, 6 days a week. By the end of that summer, the owner sold the company. 1992 I moved to San Diego, CA.

2018 I started TrueTints by Gary Brewer, Mobile window tinting service.
