Saverio Barbera, M.D., FACC, FHRS

Dr. Saverio Barbera is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at Monument Health Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Barbera received his medical degree at SUNY Brooklyn Medical School in Brooklyn, NY. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at New York University in New York, NY. He completed his Cardiology Fellowship and Electrophysiology Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.

Dr. Barbera chose to practice medicine because it combines his love of science with his love of interacting with people. He wants to make a difference in people's lives. The most rewarding part of practicing medicine for Dr. Barbera is seeing the smile on patients' faces after they have gone through their procedure and treatment. He enjoys hearing how their lives were positively changed. In his free time, Dr. Barbera enjoys sports, horse racing, jogging, working out, and mixing his love of food with healthy eating.
