Ashis H Tayal

Dr. Tayal is a Vascular Neurologist and serves as the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center of Allegheny General Hospital and the Director of the Cerebrovascular Center of Allegheny Health Network. He is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine. He also directs the Telestroke Network of Allegheny Health Network.

Dr. Tayal attended Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. He completed training in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and went on to complete additional Post Graduate Training and Fellowship in Vascular Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Stroke Institute. He is board certified in Vascular Neurology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Tayal has published numerous academic studies, and served as the site Principle Investigator of multiple clinical research trials related to stroke therapy and prevention. His specific professional interests are in stroke care model development, quality improvement, stroke population health, predictive analytics and telehealth.
