Barbara O'Connell, MD

Dr. O’Connell provides advanced and innovative care for patients with complex neurological disorders. Her special interest is multiple sclerosis and movement disorders.

Dr. O’Connell earned her degree at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She completed her neurology residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Chemical Society, Movement Disorder Society, and Multiple Sclerosis Society, serving on the medical advisory board in the central Pennsylvania region.

Prior to joining AHN, she was an assistant professor of neurology at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. As a physician with the AHN Neuroscience Institute, Dr. O’Connell is part of AHN experts who are among the most experienced in the world at effectively treating all types of brain, spine, and neurological conditions.

Dr. O’Connell has medical privileges at Allegheny Valley and West Penn hospitals.
