Richard Nahouraii, MD

Dr. Richard Nahouraii is a surgeon specializing in critical care and trauma. He is trauma medical director at AHN Forbes Hospital, and a colonel in the United States Army Reserve. He is the command surgeon for the 316th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, having completed multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan including assignments with Special Operations task forces of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy.

Dr. Nahouraii earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He completed his residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He received additional training through a trauma and critical care fellowship at the Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.

He is certified in general surgery and surgical critical care by the American Board of Surgery.
