Fabiola Balmir, MD

Dr. Balmir is an infertility specialist who evaluates and treats all types of reproductive problems and offers a wide range of innovative treatments for both male and female infertility. Her goal is to help patients achieve a healthy pregnancy as safely and quickly as possible. She is passionate about helping all patients understand their conditions and believes in working with them to find the most suitable treatment plans.

Dr. Balmir is experienced with a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to fertility management for recurrent pregnancy loss issues, polycystic ovarian syndrome, reproductive pituitary disorders, oncologic as well as elective fertility preservation, male factors (including low sperm counts, reduced sperm motility, etc.), genetic disorders requiring embryo testing, uterine factors (fibroids, polyps, scar tissue), tubal factors, and endometriosis.

She earned her medical degree at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. She gained additional experience during her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Magee-Womens Hospital.

Dr. Balmir is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Alpha Omega Alpha Society, National Medical Association, and American Medical Association. She speaks French fluently.

Dr. Balmir has medical staff privileges at West Penn Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital.
