I have always loved science and loved caring for people—as a physician, I get to do both. I specifically chose Allergy/Immunology because throughout college and medical school, I have always been fascinated by the immune system. As an allergist, I love that I get to apply my knowledge to help patients. This field also allows me to see patients of all ages and to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
Allergy/Immunology is fascinating and always expanding. The number of people with allergies is rising, but so is the number of treatments in this field. We are learning more about allergies and the immune system every day. My mission is to utilize this knowledge for the best care of my patients.
The most rewarding thing about my job is working with patients to help them find out what is causing their symptoms and find an appropriate treatment to better their quality of life.

I believe each patient is unique. My philosophy of care is to listen to each story and tailor a patient’s medical care appropriately. I want each patient to know I will work to find out what is causing the problem and what we can do as a team to make them feel better. My patients are the reason I do what I do, and I enjoy getting to know each one.

I hope my patients feel respected, comfortable, and part of the team as I provide them with high-quality care for their allergies, asthma, skin conditions, or chronic infections. My goal is to help them understand their diagnoses and help them to decide the best treatment plan.
I would say my best quality is my personality. I enjoy getting to know people and maintaining good doctor-patient relationships, while truly caring for each patient as if they were my own family.

This helps me to see each patient as an individual (not just a number) and as a whole person (not just treating a small part of their disease process).
