Douglas Sankar, MD

Douglas D. Sankar, MD is Board Certified in Neurology with added qualifications in Clinical Neurophysiology, recognized by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Through an accelerated program offered at Boston University, MA, Dr. Sankar received his Medical Degree, which was followed by his Medical Internship and Neurology Residency at New York University. Dr. Sankar also completed his Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, at NYU.Dr. Sankar brings 20 years of experience and expertise to his patients, as NYP Medical Group/Hudson Valley’s Clinical Director of Neurology Department. He has special interests in neuromuscular disorders, as well as general neurology, including headache, epilepsy and stroke.
