As followers of the Hebrew traditions as established in the Torah, we are commanded to keep the feats of the YHWH. One of those is Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles. The command to observe Sukkot is found in Leviticus 23:42-43 (NKJV), which says, "You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." A "sukkah" is a temporary shelter. During Sukkot, we remember the tents in which the Israelites lived as they wandered in the desert. We also look forward to the day when the Messiah, Yeshua, will become Israel's Sukkah. His presence will shelter us, and we will no longer be oppressed by the nations. Join us for a celebration of Sukkot from October 19 to 20 in Omaha, TX.
