BY Wound Care Internal Medicine

Byoung Yang, MD, is the experienced physician and wound care specialist at BY Wound Care Internal Medicine in White Plains, New York, where he provides cutting-edge medicine with old-school care. Dr. Yang understands how difficult it is for patients to make decisions about their health care, and spends the time necessary educating his patients so they can make the most informed decisions about their health and medical needs. 
After earning his medical degree at Chonbuk National University School of Medicine in Chonbuk, South Korea, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class, Dr. Yang completed his internship at the National Police Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. He then relocated to the United States to continue his residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, where he remained to complete his internal medicine residency. 
During his internal medicine residency, Dr. Yang was fortunate to train under renowned wound care specialist Jorge Beale, MD. He then completed his fellowship training in wound care and hyperbaric medicine at the esteemed Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. 
Dedicated to his profession and medical specialty, Dr. Yang is a frequent speaker at local and national wound care meetings. He was the second-place winner of the 2007 Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society President Award for research in stem cells in hyperbaric oxygen. 
Dr. Yang holds board certifications from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is an affiliated physician with White Plains Hospital.
Dr. Yang is a classical pianist and painter.
