Comprehensive Pain of the Palm Beaches: Bart Gatz, MD

Bart Gatz, MD, provides exceptional care and effective treatments for patients who have chronic and acute pain at his practice, Comprehensive Pain of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth, Florida. Dr. Gatz has almost 20 years of experience and is board certified in anesthesiology and pain management.
In 1991, Dr. Gatz graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, with a bachelor’s degree. He then attended the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha to study for his Doctor of Medicine, graduating in 1993. 
After completing an internship at Creighton University Medical Center in 1994, Dr. Gatz undertook an anesthesiology residency at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City. Having chosen to specialize in pain medicine, in 1998 he completed an anesthesiology and pain management fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
Dr. Gatz believes in the importance of finding the cause of each patient’s pain condition and addressing every aspect of a patient’s life and current health that contributes to their pain. He uses scientifically sound treatment approaches from both conventional and complementary fields to create a personalized treatment plan for each patient. He has considerable expertise performing procedures such as implanting spinal cord stimulators and pain pumps, and performing surgeries like kyphoplasty to relieve spinal compression.
Dr. Gatz provides outstanding care for his patients, taking the time to talk in detail with each of them and understand their needs, demonstrating a sincere devotion to helping reduce the burden of pain.
