Stephen Sondike, MD, FAAP, FSAHM

Dr. Sondike is an adolescent medicine specialist and director of the Akron Children’s Adolescent Medicine division. He’s been in practice since 2000 and with Akron Children’s since 2016. He earned his medical degree from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and completed his pediatric residency and adolescent medicine fellowship at Cohen Children’s Hospital in New York. Dr. Sondike has a special interest in eating disorders and gender affirming medicine. He’s certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. He’s a clinical professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical College and a fellow of the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine.
