I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, but grew up in Frederick, MD. I was inspired to enter medicine at 9 years old when I saw my 3-month-old nephew in the NICU. I've been married for 10 years. My husband is an ER physician. We have three boys who are 7-, 5-, and 2-years old. I received my graduate nursing degree from The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. I am certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and I am a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
