Clarinda Academy

Clarinda Academy is a residential foster care facility that provides long-term residential treatment services to at-risk and delinquent male and female youth from all across the country. Clarinda Academy’s mission is to serve the unique academic, behavioral, social, emotional and physical needs of our students, who are in a critical period of their lives. Clarinda is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, trusting, and caring environment that opens the door for life-changing opportunities. Putting each student’s treatment needs first and foremost, students receive outpatient therapy and counseling in the setting that best suits them, either at Clarinda or with their established outpatient providers. In addition, students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of interscholastic sports and fine arts programs, as well as vocational training. We believe that intensely scheduled programming, skill-building activities, and carefully guided extra-curriculars, along with appropriate treatment programs administered by experienced and caring professionals, create benefits for our students that have the potential to impart life-long redirection.
