Benjamin Felder Jackson, MD

Ben Jackson, M.D. is an associate professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine physician at MUSC Children's Health. He grew up in the Charleston area and graduated from medical school here at MUSC before completing his pediatrics residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Dr. Jackson serves as the PEM director of procedural sedation and the institutional principal investigator for the multi-center Pediatric Sedation Research Consortium. He has served on the Society for Pediatric Sedation Board of Directors and on ACEP procedural sedation committees, has lectured nationally on procedural sedation, and co-edited The Pediatric Procedural Sedation Handbook, which published in 2018. In his free time he enjoys boating with his family, hunting and exploring in Four Hole Swamp, and tinkering on his old Land Cruiser.
