Dustin Paul LeBlanc, MD

Dr. Dustin P. LeBlanc is an emergency physician working in the Emergency Department at the Medical University of South Carolina. He has deep roots in the south and on the water. After completing medical school at the University of Mississippi, he completed residency and fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, obtaining board certification in emergency medicine and emergency medical services medicine. Dr. LeBlanc is passionate about providing the greatest care possible to patients from their earliest point of entry into the medical process. He enjoys both his time in the Emergency Department as well as his administrative roles with local fire and EMS agencies, elevating the level of care patients receive as soon as they dial 9-1-1. Dr. LeBlanc has obtained highly varied experience in medicine outside the Emergency Department, functioning in roles that include on-site EMS medical director, flight physician for critical care transport patients, and tactical physician deployed with SWAT units. His interests include special event and mass gathering event medicine, care in the out-of-hospital environment, and increasing public bystander medical care including CPR and bleeding control. Dr. LeBlanc understands that those he encounters are often at a low point of injury or illness and the importance of elevating their spirits by providing compassionate and skilled care.
