Michael Fastenberg, MD - Schweiger Dermatology Group

Long Island native Dr. Michael Fastenberg is a board-certified dermatologist at Schweiger Dermatology Group in Smithtown, New York. Dr. Fastenberg attended Jericho High School and received his undergraduate degree from Duke University (cum laude).

Dr. Fastenberg returned to Long Island after working and living in various places around the world. He received his medical degree from the Stony Brook School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha) and completed his internship in internal medicine at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola. He then completed his dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC.

He has performed research in biochemistry, cell biology and dermatology, has been published in peer reviewed journals and has presented at local and national meetings. Dr. Fastenberg specializes in general adult, pediatric and surgical dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology, including Botox, fillers and laser procedures. Dr. Fastenberg is on faculty at St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, NY.
