John Garofalo, MD - Schweiger Dermatology Group

Dr. John A. Garofalo is a board-certified general and medical dermatologist practicing at Schweiger Dermatology Group in Great Neck, New York.

With over 27 years of clinical dermatology experience, Dr. Garofalo strives to provide the utmost comprehensive and quality care with compassion and expertise to all of his patients. Dr. Garofalo attended medical school at Cornell University Medical College in New York. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset. He began his residency in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan and completed his residency in dermatology at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital Center New York. His fellowship in allergy, rheumatology and clinical immunology was completed at Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook, New York. Dr. Garofalo is board-certified in both internal medicine and dermatology.

Presently Dr. Garofalo serves as the Director of Dermatology at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York. He has been a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology since 1985 and a fellow of the Long Island Dermatology Society. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Garofalo enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, camping, fishing and many other outdoor activities using sunscreen SPF 30 or greater, of course!
