Karen Marie Glover, MD, RD, is a board-certified family physician and registered dietitian at LifeBalance Integrative Health & Wellness in Palmdale, California. She has nearly 20 years of direct patient care experience and over 25 years of experience as a credentialed nutritionist dietitian.
Dr. Glover earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and completed her Master of Science in Food and Nutrition at California State University, Los Angeles. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed a family practice residency at Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, California.
Dr. Glover understands how the mind and body work together. That’s why she takes a whole-person, holistic approach to give patients other options in addition to pharmaceutical medications and harsh therapies. Patient opinions are front and center when creating treatment plans.
Dr. Glover’s patient-centered care isn’t restricted to the medical model. As a registered dietitian, she incorporates nutrition education into medical assessments and treatment goals. She uses herbal medications, supplements, mindfulness, and healthy lifestyle approaches to prevent and treat intestinal problems, chronic pain, obesity, and diseases.
Dr. Glover stays up-to-date with the latest advances in integrative medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She’s also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
