I feel the treatment is best and complete when you address and treat symptoms from all perspectives, including but not limited to medication and psychotherapy. I see my patients at my office in Forest Hills. Listening to patients in a non-judgemental way and understanding their symptoms is equally important. Fulfilling work life which is symptom-free and having loving personal relationships are some long-term psychotherapy goals which I strive to help my patients achieve through shared exploration and understanding. The majority of patients seek me because they feel that being both a psychiatrist, child psychiatrist and psychoanalytic candidate in training allows me to address patient's biological and emotional needs and concerns.
I am double board certified as adult and child psychiatrist. I am also a psychoanalytic candidate in training in Adult Psychoanalysis at Columbia University Medical Center. I have published a few articles and chapters as well as I am the sole author of a book titled " Marital Knot"; Arranged Marriages, Love marriages and the ties that bind. I also have a fellow status at American Psychiatric Association.
I treat a variety of disorders, including depression, anxiety, panic OCD, PTSD, and mood disorders. Part of my work time is devoted to Forensic psychiatry where I do write forensic reports for my patients and represent them in court to advocate for their rights.
