I try very hard to empower my patients to take responsibility for their healthcare. I believe that Health Promotion and Prevention are vitally important to a patient's health and well-being. I encourage my patients to ask questions. I try in turn, to listen very carefully to what my patients are reporting, and I try to take their religious, personal, social, and cultural preferences into consideration. I try to focus my attention at each visit directly on the patient, and not stare at a computer screen or ignore the verbal and physical cues that patients provide.
