Welcome to the Bucktown Pub! Allegedly established in 1932 we are one of the city’s oldest and best-hidden gems. A home away from home where the High Life is as cold as the White Claw and the Draft Beer is Fancy! It’s a place where you can get a shot of inexpensive whiskey, a big basket of delicious, free popcorn, or a well-crafted cocktail. We strive to have a little something for everyone.
Anyone who walks in is sure to be greeted by our mascot Buck, the infamous Bucktown Goat. Legend has it he used to rub elbows with local politicians and mobsters in his heyday. You’re also bound to meet some of the friendliest staff and regulars this side of the Chicago River. There’s always someone interesting to talk to and very rarely a dull moment.
Our private Beer Garden is world-renowned and is probably one of the best places in town to enjoy a cold beer on a beautiful day. One of our bartenders always says that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston probably met out there. Keep in mind that he also believes that an underling of Al Capone’s came up with the idea for hard seltzer, so you be the judge.
