Diego Hernandez, MD, is a vascular and wound care specialist and board-certified vascular surgeon at Bloomfield Vein & Vascular PLLC in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Dr. Hernandez began his journey to his medical career as an undergraduate at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Hernandez continued his postdoctoral training with a general surgery residency at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan. He rounded out his clinical training with a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hernandez also conducts research and has been published in peer review journals. He is active in the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
