Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
Gastroenterology is a good balance between working with your hands and analytical problem solving. I also enjoy keeping patients healthy in the prime of their lives as well as forming long-term relationships with patients that have chronic health issues.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
Colonoscopy screening, inpatient consultative gastroenterology, quality measures, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and capsule endoscopy.

Board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy sports – including football, basketball, and soccer. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Do you have any special honors or recognitions in your medical career that you would like to share?
Certified in the top 10% in the gastroenterology board examination. Authored 8 peer-reviewed publications in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology. I was also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
