Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

I enjoy caring for my patients gastrointestinal needs and helping them see improvements in their daily lives. I also find the procedural aspect of the field to be exciting as it involves technology.

Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?

I have a special interest in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and hepatobiliary disease.

Undergrad, Masters and Medical School: Cairo University, Internship, Residency and GI Fellowship:at New York Medical College.

What certifications do you hold?

Board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?

I am an avid sports fan and enjoy skiing and tennis. I also enjoy reading.

Do you have any special honors or recognitions in your medical career that you would like to share?

I was awarded the Certificate of Distinction for Recognition of Excellence in Teaching from New York Medical College. I have also had numerous articles published on studies conducted in gastroenterological medicine.

Do you fluently speak any other languages in addition to English?

Arabic, French and Spanish.
