Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

I chose gastroenterology because I thought it was an interesting subspecialty that included endoscopic procedures.

Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?

I have a specialty interest in biliary endoscopy and bariatrics.

Where did you study?

Undergrad: University of Texas at Austin, Medical School: University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Residency and Fellowship: University of Texas in Houston.

What certifications do you hold?

I am board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?

In my free time I enjoy traveling.

Do you fluently speak any other languages in addition to English?

Spanish and Italian.

Do you have any special honors or recognitions in your medical career that you would like to share?

Member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the Dallas County Medical Association.
