Trained foremst as a pediatric neurosurgeon at the Children's Hospital of Boston. Caring for such little, even tiny patients requires great attention to small details. I apply that attention to detail in each operation and each patient's post-operative care. I use minimally invasive techniques to minimize risk for patients and to speed recovery. For example, I am the only neurosurgeon in the area to perform percutaneous cervical fusions via a single 2 cm incision; to use endocsopic neurosurgery in adults and children; to regularly use computer guided placement of cervical spinal hardware; and to repair lumbar disks by suturing closed the outer surface after a diskectomy.
