Marissa Fontanez

Dr. Marissa Fontanez graduated with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She holds two bachelor degrees, both in nursing and psychology. She enjoys caring for the whole person while utilizing shared decision making to focus on health promotion and disease prevention. She enjoys educating patients and working as a team to achieve optimal health. She has varied health care interests with a focus on sexual and reproductive health, LGBT health and immigrant/refugee health. She has servedwith the Nurse Corps and the Peace Corps and continues to seek out local and global volunteer opportunities.
