Conejo Valley Advanced Wellness: Allen Lawrence, MD, MA, PhD

Allen Lawrence, MD, MA, PhD, is the medical director at Conejo Valley Advanced Wellness, a preventive medical clinic in Thousand Oaks, California. Dr. Lawrence received his medical degree from the UC Irvine School of Medicine. He then completed his internship at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center and his residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, also in Los Angeles, focusing on obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Lawrence achieved his master's degree in human nutrition and his doctorate in psychology from the Pacific Institute for Advanced Studies in Los Angeles. He also spent two years serving as a medical officer in the United States Air Force. After gaining experience in surgical practice, he became a nonsurgical practitioner, focusing on integrative wellness.
As part of his belief in the power of preventive medicine, Dr. Lawrence emphasizes natural treatments and lifestyle modifications to prevent illness and improve overall wellness. He has co-authored more than 22 books and written more than 100 medical articles about integrative wellness and natural treatments. He strives to educate patients on methods of stress management and natural healing strategies to prevent and treat illness associated with stress.
