Israel Chambi, MD

Israel P. Chambi, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon with over 40 years’ experience in diagnosing and treating nervous system and brain disorders. At his practice in Santa Ana, California, Dr. Chambi is known for his friendly personality and treating every patient like a member of his own family. He is a member of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and affiliates with several Southern California hospitals, including MemorialCare Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley and College Medical Center in Long Beach.
Focusing on the highest-quality patient care, Dr. Chambi provides diagnostic and treatment services for conditions like thoracic outlet syndrome, peripheral nerve damage, spinal disorders, and peroneal neuropathy. In addition to his clinic work, Dr. Chambi is the co-author of several published works on a variety of topics including electrical stimulation of the brain for treating chronic pain.
Dr. Chambi earned his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City. He completed an internship at the Martin Luther King Jr. Outpatient Center, formerly the King Drew Medical Center, in Los Angeles. Dr. Chambi went on to complete two residencies at the University of California, Irvine, one in general surgery and a second in neurological surgery.
Using a comprehensive approach, Dr. Chambi takes time to listen to the needs of each patient and designs a custom care plan to ensure a fast and accurate diagnosis using the latest technologies. For the convenience of his patients, Dr. Chambi speaks fluent English and Spanish.
