Anne Kennard, DO

 I am an obstetrician/gynecologist, integrative medicine physician, osteopath, and mother.   All of my experiences in life have informed my practice.  I love to provide care to women in a comprehensive and integrative manner.   I am a doctor of osteopathic medicine and believe strongly in the osteopathic principles of “whole person” healthcare, taking into account mind, body, spirit; the body’s ability for self-regulation and healing, and osteopathic manipulation medicine.  Besides conventional medicine and surgery, I have specialization in integrative therapies including diet, mind-body medicine, supplements, botanicals, exercise prescription, and alternative health systems including Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda.  My undergraduate degree in Nutrition Science is a basis for my practice and I am a strong believer in the philosophy of Food as Medicine.  I am experienced in hormone replacement therapy including in bioidentical hormones, and enjoy seeing new mothers for evaluation and management of disorders of lactation.  I am trained in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.    I enjoy seeing women across the lifespan including adolescents, pregnancy and childbirth, postpartum care, annual exams, and geriatric concerns.  It is my great pleasure and joy to see a family during their pregnancy, deliver their baby, and then continue to see the woman for well woman exams and watch that child grow.  My job is to empower women by providing education so that patients can make decisions to decide what best suits their healthcare needs.    I love what I do.
