The Flat-coated Retriever is a versatile working retriever, with an eternally optimistic outlook on life. Unlike some of the other retriever breeds the Flat-coat can still go from the conformation dog show ring to the hunting field on the same day. At ActScent Kennel we strive to maintain this dual purpose nature of the Flat-coat: form and function in one package. All of our breeding dogs are AKC champions of record, have OFA clearances, clear gonioscopy and are also nationally certified, working, search and rescue dogs. Our puppies have gone on to become successful search and rescue, hunting, agility, dock diving, conformation, therapy and companion dogs. Puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), puppy enrichment and socialization with children, adults, large and small dogs. They are crate trained and started on focus exercises at 6 weeks of age. Puppies are vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped and come with an extensive health guarantee.
