Northwest Spine Center: J. Michael Graham, M.D.

Michael Graham, Ph.D., M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the evaluation and treatment of all types of spinal disorders in adults, including neck pain, back pain, disc problems, and pinched nerves. Dr. Graham is skilled in a variety of innovative diagnostic and treatment methods. At the Northwest Spine Center in The Woodlands, Texas, patients receive comprehensive, conservative, and compassionate care in order to achieve healing.
Dr. Graham is active in several professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, The Texas Medical Association, The Texas Orthopaedic Society, and the Harris County Medical Society. He previously served on the Patient Safety Committee of the North American Spine Society and he also previously served as president of the Texas Spine Society.
Dr. Graham earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Graham completed a one-year internship in General Surgery and then a four-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas. After that, Dr. Graham completed a one-year fellowship in spine surgery in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, also in Houston, Texas. Dr. Graham has authored or co-authored several scientific and medical research articles in spinal surgery.
Dr. Graham treats all spine-related conditions in adults and considers all non-invasive options before recommending surgery. He focuses on achieving optimal improvement in pain and other symptoms through custom treatment plans and individual attention to patient needs. Dr. Graham believes in starting with an accurate diagnosis to ensure each patient receives exactly the treatment they need to get well.
