Leslie Cornwell, CNM, is an experienced and caring Certified Nurse Midwife in Lakeview, Michigan, offering complete women’s healthcare for women of all ages, including pregnancy, birth, and menopause and postmenopause. As the founder of Uplifting Women’s Wellness, located inside the Healing Center of Lakeview, Leslie has dedicated herself to providing the highest-quality, personalized women’s healthcare possible using conservative and natural methods whenever possible.
Services at Uplifting Women’s Wellness include an array of primary care, well women exams, birth control, breast exams, and midwifery care during pregnancy. Leslie also offers breastfeeding education and support, as well as newborn exams.
The mission of Uplifting Women’s Wellness is to bridge conventional and alternative medicine through integrated care. Leslie works with women who want to participate fully in their health and wellbeing and offers the most up-to-date, evidence-based care and alternative therapies available for safe, effective treatments and health maintenance.
Leslie completed her undergraduate education at the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit. She then completed advanced studies to become a Certified Nurse Midwife through Philadelphia University, now called Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia. Leslie enjoys the opportunity to offer conventional medicine alongside traditional midwifery care that focuses on the normal, physiological changes of pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding.
