Tambra Woods, MD - Internal Medicine

Dr. Woods is a native Texan who grew up in Odessa, TX and attended Permian High. Life at Permian High School was the inspiration for the book, movie and TV series "Friday Night Lights". Her upbringing helped to foster both a deep respect for others as well as a zealous work ethic. After completing college at the University of Texas in Arlington, Dr. Woods obtained a degree in medical technology and worked for a year at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. This experience fueled her passion for furthering her expertise in the medical field and lead to attending medical school at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston where she graduated with honors in 1988 and received the Janet M. Glascow award for academic excellence. The premier reputation for excellence brought her to the University of Colorado Health Science Center for internship and residency training in the specialty of Internal Medicine. Dr. Woods has been fortunate to be practicing internal medicine in the Denver area since 1992. Dr. Woods is board certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians, the Colorado and Arapahoe County Medical Societies and the American Medical Association. She is committed to maintaining her proficiency in her field and keeps current participating in various CME activities and meetings.
