Vaginas United began as an idea after my latest student shyly and almost apologetically described to me what her “drunk” uncle had done to her the previous weekend. As educators, we are legally bound to report any physical or sexual abuse that is reported to us by students. This student’s story was very similar to the molestation I endured as a young child and I sat there and thought to myself, “So much has still not changed for women!”
