Garcia Pediatrics: Toby Garcia, M.D.

As a native of Corpus Christi, Toby Garcia, MD, is proud to serve the community where he was raised. Dr. Garcia is the founder of Garcia Pediatrics, a full-service pediatric medical practice, located in the heart of Corpus Christi, Texas.
After completing his Bachelor of Science in pharmacy at the University of Houston, Dr. Garcia attended medical school. He earned his Doctor of Medicine through the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Mexico, before returning to South Texas for his required patient care training.
Dr. Garcia went through his pediatric residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, where he focused on comprehensive child development care and diagnostics. He went on to earn his Master of Business Administration for physicians and dentists through the University of Houston School of Business and Public Administration (currently the Bauer College of Business).
Throughout his career, Dr. Garcia has worked tirelessly to continue his education and focus on comprehensive care for younger patients. He maintains professional memberships with the American College of Physician Leadership, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Texas Pediatric Society, among others. Dr. Garcia currently serves as the consulting physician for the Corpus Christi Independent School District.
Parents explain that Dr. Garcia is naturally compassionate and helps put their children at ease during appointments. He spends quality time examining and treating children, as well as educating parents about their child’s health. Dr. Garcia and his team are fluent in both English and Spanish — se habla Tex-Mex.
