Established in 1987 by renowned interventional radiologist Barry T. Katzen, M.D., the Institute was one of the first centers in the United States to treat the heart and blood vessels as one entity. Today, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute is the largest and most comprehensive cardiovascular facility in the region.
