Podiatry Care: Yitzchak Cohen, DPM

With special interests in trauma, sports medicine, diabetic foot care, regenerative medicine, and pediatric and adult podiatric surgery, Yitzchak Cohen, DPM, can diagnose and treat all types of lower extremity issues. Dr. Cohen welcomes new and existing patients to Podiatry Care in Totowa, New Jersey.
After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut, Dr. Cohen was accepted into medical school. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and was ultimately accepted into a competitive Ivy League-affiliated internship and residency program.
Dr. Cohen went through a comprehensive internship at the New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, followed by a podiatric surgical residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. He completed the fourth year of his residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. Dr. Cohen is currently a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society.
With a passion for patient care and the ever-changing field of medicine, Dr. Cohen is constantly involved in continuing education. He has been invited to lecture about foot and ankle conditions at multiple medical conferences. Dr. Cohen is even a panel physician who’s qualified to oversee hyperbaric oxygen therapy at the Hudson Regional Hospital Wound Care Center.
Because of his expertise in all aspects of podiatric treatments, including minimally invasive, arthroscopic, and endoscopic surgeries, Dr. Cohen maintains privileges at a number of teaching hospitals in New Jersey. He’s also licensed to practice in New York.
