Jason Wood - VA Loan Guy

As the son of a Real Estate Agent, Jason has been around the real estate nearly all his life. Jason began his career in the mortgage industry during college and has over seventeen years of experience in the real estate industry. He began originating loans in 2001 and in 2011 moved to San Diego to further develop his career. Jason has helped over 1,100 families with their home financing and has been nationally ranked in the Scottsman Guide as a VA Loan Expert.

As an Air Force Veteran Jason is passionate about sharing the benefits of the VA loan to the military community and is often times presenting around town or on base.

As an advocate for community service, Jason is active in many organizations and served as the Founding Chairman of the North San Diego County Association of Realtor’s Young Professionals Network, member of the USO San Diego Fundraising Committee, and member of the North San Diego County Association of Realtor’s Military Veterans Advocacy Committee (MVAC).

Jason was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. While nominated to all the military academies he decided to stay local and graduated from the University of Nevada with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Studies-International Justice. While in college and through 2004, Jason was a member of the Nevada Air National Guard where achieved the rank of E-5 (Non-Commissioned Officer) as an Airfield Management Journeyman and also served on the base Honor Guard.

In 2008 he was appointed to the State of Nevada, Real Estate Division as the Deputy Administrator. At the end of the Governor’s term Jason returned to the mortgage lending industry which led him to San Diego.

Jason received his private pilot’s license in 2007 and enjoys aviation, performance automotive and snow skiing in his free time. He is the father of one and married to his beautiful bride Brooke and loves to spend time with his family. Brooke and Jason really enjoy dining out as one of their favorite things to do.
