Laura B Cornwell, MD

Laura B. Cornwell, M.D., is a Louisville native who earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Louisville. She completed her residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY where she served as chief resident and won awards for clinical care, educational pursuits and research accomplishments. Dr. Cornwell completed a clinical and research fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego and University of California San Diego’s Department of Urology.

"I plan to continue to work on clinical research projects and quality improvement projects while at Norton. My areas of interest are 1) understanding the impact of childhood urological disease on kidney health and 2) minimizing patient risks, harms in the management of urological issues in children." - Dr. Cornwell
