Elyssa R Yantis, DO

Dr. Elyssa Yantis was born outside of Cleveland, Ohio and is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. She obtained her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University, DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, TN, before moving to Texas to complete her residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Prior to moving to Kentucky, Dr. Yantis was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics in Galveston, in addition to holding the position of Assistant Director of Continuity Clinic, where she spent time seeing patients, supervising residents and medical students, as well as teaching. She is also a co-author for the chapter on Adolescent Medicine in Core Concepts of Pediatrics.  

Dr. Yantis is board-certified in pediatrics. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Kentucky Medical Association. She has a special interest in the care of the newborn, breastfeeding, and adolescent medicine. Dr. Yantis works full time seeing patients at the Norton Children’s Medical Associates Clinic on Dixie highway.   

Dr. Yantis moved to Louisville, Kentucky to be closer to family. She and her husband Matthew Yantis, who is a practicing Ear, Nose, and Throat physician, enjoy spending time with their two young children, outdoor activities, and exploring the many restaurants Louisville has to offer.
