The Journey Birth Center & Midwifery Care

Journey Birth Center offers birthing center deliveries, home birth deliveries, and midwifery care services to women throughout the Greater Houston area. Located in the heart of old downtown Humble (just 20 minutes from downtown Houston), our beautiful office and birthing center make all families feel welcome and comfortable as you bring your sweet little one into the world. The Journey Birth Services LLC started as a home birth practice in 2017, and has grown into a fully functional birth center with the purchase of our new facility in 2020, allowing us to serve a broader range of birthing families. Midwives Amber Berry, CPM, LM, MSc, and Shani Van Patten, CPM, LM work together to support birthing women to feel empowered throughout their pregnancy and birth experience through individualized care, supporting women’s autonomy to make informed decisions specific to their own body, baby, and birth. Our birth team is well trained to monitor & facilitate natural birth, while bringing the necessary equipment, skills, & medications to every birth to intervene when necessary to provide a safe, healthy outcome for mom and baby.
