Dr. Melissa Welby

Dr. Melissa Welby is passionate about improving people’s mental health. She is an experienced, caring, and effective psychiatrist who believes that patient care is optimized through a partnership between the patient and the physician. She is an accurate diagnostician and skilled psychotherapist with extensive knowledge of psychopharmacology. She is also experienced in treating a variety of illnesses, including depression, anxiety, adult attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and borderline personality disorder.

Dr. Welby advocates for her patients and her profession and is the Immediate Past-President of the Connecticut Psychiatric Society (2018-2019) and the President of the Fairfield/Litchfield County Psychiatric Society (2014-present). She shares her reflections on various topics related to psychiatry in her blog which includes education about mental health and tips to improve overall well-being.
