Dr. D. Russell Bishop, Psy.D., Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Bishop completed an undergraduate degree in psychology at Wheaton College, subsequently pursued graduate training in counseling psychology at the University of Iowa, and completed a doctorate in clinical psychology at the Adler School of Professional Psychology. He currently has specialty certification in clinical psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology, and previously in addictions by the Illinois Certification Board. His clinical interests have included work with children, teens, adults, diagnostic assessment and addictions. Dr. Bishop uses a broad range of cognitive behavioral and insight oriented techniques in the psychotherapy and counseling process.

Dr. Bishop has taught a broad variety of graduate psychology and counseling courses at the Adler University, Northern Illinois University, Wheaton College and Colorado Christian University, as well as internationally in Russia and Ukraine. He has lectured and presented training seminars and workshops nationally and internationally in Europe and East Asia. His research and publication interests have included addictions, psychometrics, clinical training and supervision, and the integration of spiritual values in psychotherapy and supervision.
