In 2006, the Darby Family purchased this facility from funeral conglomerate, Service Corporation International and brought local funeral home ownership back to the families of Oakwood and surrounding communities.

Our large chapel can be utilized for visitations, funeral services, and memorial services, and it can always be converted for small, intimate gatherings. Our lounge at Oakwood is also utilized for our Memories of the Heart Children’s Program. With a combination of arts and crafts projects, along with gentle discussion, little ones are guided through the mystery of a funeral or cremation.
