Eastern Roots Wellness is a Chinese medicine practice that provides individualized and holistic medical services to help with a variety of conditions. One of the main modalities used is that of acupuncture.

Acupuncture is an effective and natural healing tool that stimulates various points on the body in order to bring about a biochemical change in the body. A cascade of bio-physiological processes are started, which can help to relieve pain, improve circulation, strengthen immunity, etc. as various hormones and neurotransmitters are released from the needling as the parasympathetic nervous system is activated.

All components of Chinese Medicine help to stimulate various biological responses throughout the body to improve overall vitality and well-being. Other components of Chinese Medicine that are also offered at this practice include cupping, gua sha, tui na (Chinese medical massage), moxibustion, Chinese herbs, and dietary and lifestyle advice.

The combination of these modalities together often helps to further heal the body, mind and spirit. The more our patients are able to come for consistent treatments, along with following nutritional, lifestyle and exercise advice, the more successful the treatments.
