Paul Phillips, MD, is with Springfield Clinic’s Family Medicine Department seeing patients at Springfield Clinic Main Campus East. He joined Springfield Clinic in 2009.Dr. Phillips completed his medical degree and family medicine residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield.Born and raised in central Illinois, Dr. Phillips knew at a young age that he wanted to be a doctor due to his own personal experience with an orthopedic surgeon fixing his broken arm.“The stories I get to hear from my patients and working with them to help them get better are the things I love most about my job,” says Dr. Phillips. “I love getting to meet new people in my line of work and getting to know each and every one of my patients.”Dr. Phillips’ patient base is broad from newborn to geriatric care, and he is ready to help patients address any health care needs or concerns they may have.In his free time, he enjoys all kinds of baseball, particularly the St. Louis Cardinals and his sons’ travel teams, and spending time traveling with his family.Top 1% Patient ExperienceThis provider ranks in the top 1% nationally in patient experience, based on scores from the "Care Provider Overall" question on surveys completed with Press Ganey.
