Karen S. Steed, RN, FNP, CFMP founded Innovative Healthcare Family Practice in Sherman, Texas and Innovative Wellness Center in McKinney, Texas with the desire to treat patients who struggle with various health issues not being addressed elsewhere. She’s a family nurse practitioner who offers a wide range of services in the integrative medicine arena to accommodate the health needs of the people in and around the Sherman, Texas and McKinney, Texas areas. Integrity, trust, giving oneself, and using one’s talents to help others are the core values that drive Ms. Steed and her dedicated team at Innovative Healthcare Family Practice.
Karen attended Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. She graduated from this institution in 2005 and began her nursing career in home health. After working in the field for a while, Ms. Steed went on to earn a master’s degree in nursing from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, in 2008. She quickly began working as a family nurse practitioner at a family practice.
In 2015, Karen followed her dream of having her own family practice which would focus on integrative medicine – a blend of functional medicine and primary healthcare. At Innovative Healthcare Family Practice, Karen and her team work to find the underlying causes of each patient’s health issues, instead of simply treating the symptoms.
